SmartWay Transportation Partnership Webinar
Thursday, December 20, 2012 (3pm - 4pm US/Eastern)
As part of our effort to support responsible and sustainable environmental practices in the dairy industry, EPA SmartWay, the International Dairy Foods Association and the Innovation Center for U.S. Dairy invite you to join us for an important SmartWay Transportation Webinar, December 20, 2012 from 3:00-4:00pm EST.
As many of you know, the SmartWay Transportation Partnership, a program of the Environmental Protection Agency, was established to provide information about strategies and technologies to help freight shippers, carriers and logistics companies save fuel, improve fuel efficiency and reduce emissions.
Since 2004, SmartWay partner companies have saved 55 million barrels of oil and $6.5 billion in fuel costs! And now, SmartWay is introducing a second-generation program with even better performance benchmarking and carbon accounting systems.
Tune in to the webinar to learn how the new SmartWay program can help you meet carbon reporting and corporate sustainability commitments. You’ll also hear how SmartWay can help protect U.S. jobs and support economic growth.
SmartWay’s Team Leader, Buddy Polovick, will lead the presentation. The webinar will also feature IDFA’s Vice President of Regulatory Affairs, Clay Detlefsen and Gail Barnes, Vice President of Technology and Packaging at the Innovation Center for U.S. Dairy, who will discuss how their member companies are benefiting from SmartWay partnerships.
